Which glass cleaner should you choose for your car?

It depends on where you use it. For the inside of the windscreen and screens, a small spray bottle is enough. For the screenwash reservoir, the concentrate or the 5 L container is better value. If you do a lot of driving in summer, choose the version with bug remover; in winter, the one with rain repellent.

Available sizes

  • 125 ml and 500 ml - spray bottle, for the inside of the glass and quick cleans.
  • 1 L, 2 L and 5 L - for filling the reservoir.
  • Concentrate - diluted with water; cheaper per litre.
  • 2-in-1 - with bug remover or with rain repellent.

Why streaks appear after cleaning

For three reasons: glass cleaned in the sun, with the product drying before you wipe it off; a saturated cloth that spreads instead of cleaning; or too much product. Work in the shade with two cloths - one to apply, a dry one to finish.

Rain repellent doesn't clean

It forms a film that repels water from the glass, so rain runs off by itself as you drive. That's why it always goes on after the glass is clean - never on top of dirt.
